After moving to the beautiful Nambucca Valley on the mid north coast of NSW with our ten year old kelpie, Dan and I finally had the time and space to get DannyBoy that friend we always promised him.
Not needing another working dog, we searched to see what would be a good fit for our rural lifestyle. We discovered Miniature Schnauzers were German farm dogs, originally used for ratting and are strong robust little dogs, equally suited to farm life or apartment living.
So along came Amber Star to join our family and to win over Danny Boy’s heart. She was the cutest little pup and quickly won all our hearts.
Danny Boy and Amber Star became besties.
Size didn’t matter, they learned to love one another and did things together. Amber Star often gave him a run for his money when it came to the ‘chase me’ game.
Sadly, Danny Boy has now passed and we still miss him dearly. However this robust, funny, bold little girl led the way for a new venture to begin.
Because of her, we decided to become breeders of these little dogs, that are so easy to love!
